Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Iowa

I live very close to a park and there is a proposal to build a radio controlled car race track at this park. A lot of the neighbors in this neighborhood are against this proposal. There was a city council meeting last night and about 5 people from this neighborhood came to the meeting to voice their concerns. 2 people left disgusted and angry because the city council didn't care about our concerns. The main concerns that were raised were noise and location. I was just wandering if there is anything our neighborhood can do to stop this race track from coming to this park? What is our rights concerning this issue?

I think you've done what you can. By voicing your concerns you've started the process. If it's built and there is a noise problem you'll have to call the police and file a complaint.
