Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Iowa

Lying about real estate property

I bought my first house at a real estate auction. This was advertised in the ad as having a 2 year old roof. I was also told this by the seller, a person I knew and trusted. It does not have a new roof, in fact it is quite old. Do I have any recourse or is it ''buyer beware''?

If the seller defrauded you by stating incorrect facts, you may have some recourse. You should contact an attorney. You did have an attorney represent you for this transaction, didn't you?
