Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Iowa
property real estate
Is there a law in Iowa that states that if you maintain a property, next to the property that we own (an empty lot) ie: mow the lawn and do snow removal and keep up the general apperance, for 10 years that legally the person who took care of it can change their abstract to include the adjacent property? No money was exchanged for the upkeep. The lot is owned by another person.

No. It takes much more that that. Otherwise, people would be constantly cutting each other's lawns and shoveling each other's sidewalks. Hmm, maybe that isn't such a bad idea...
If you are serious about this, you should contact a real estate attorney in your area for more specific advice.
