my question is on legal boundaries on a property I own, it say so many feet from a point or to the middle of the river, if the river changes course do you still own to the middle of the river?

It depends on whether the river changes course suddenly, as in a flood, or it changes gradually. It also depends on what the legal description of the property states, and the nature of the watercourse-whether it is navigable or not, and whether it is man made or not.
