Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Iowa

Real estate (buying a home on contract)

My friends mother is buying a house on contract and has decided that my friend(the daughter of the woman buying the house) will not be allowed to live there. Can the seller really tell the lady buying the house who can or cannot live there with her?

Generally speaking, the contract seller has no say in who lives in the property. If the contract does not address it, then your friend's mother can have anyone she wants living there.
