Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Iowa

real estate fraud?

a real estate agent who i have a intimate relationship with was advertising ''if i don't sell your home in 90 days I will buy it'' he had bad credit, signed contracts with those sellers and when the time was up I purchased them since he had bad credit. he married me, left after 5 months, all homes were in my name and the market failed. I have lost everything. He forged my name to a few documents. He promised me BIG money after we sold the homes. Which never happened. Should I go after the real estate company? What should I do?

Re: real estate fraud?

You should talk to an attorney for starters. Depending on which documents were forged, there could be some serious problems for your ex-husband. Just from reading your post, I am not sure the real estate company has any liability here, but it is certainly possible. Obviously there is much more to the story--and the answers you need--than can be included in a format such as this. I would be happy to talk to you about this, if you like.
