Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Iowa
We have relocated due to employment and we are in the process of selling out home where we used to live. We are currently under contact and are due to close by the end of the month. We have just learned that the town where the house is located will probably be flooded because of the issues on the Missouri River. Will we be able to receive assistance even though it is not our primary home? Is the contract still binding in the case of flooding?

That's a matter to take up with your insurance carrier, who is, I believe, the federal government. You might also want to have the contract of insurance examined by an attorney pretty soon before the water gets to the door.
