Legal Question in Traffic Law in Iowa
I'm from New Jersey, but I'm in Iowa for the summer. I was speeding the other day and a cop pulled me over- I don't think he was a state trooper. Anyway, I was doing 68 in a 55 I think? I didn't realize, but it's not my car and I'm used to going 65 in New Jersey on a highway. He bumped my ticket down to me going 65 in a 55. Is there anyway that I can get this ticket reduced or even canceled and just pay court fees since I'm from out of state?

Welcome to Iowa. It wouldn't matter if it was a state trooper or not. As far as whether you can make the ticket go away it's doubtful. You can try, but you should have a good story for the prosecutor. When you get back say hello to everyone in New Brunswick-my home town.
