Legal Question in Traffic Law in Iowa
separated spouse barred driver
My husband, a barred driver, talked me into registering an auto in my name and my insurance co. I don't want to be liable if he is stopped by the police. How do I remove the auto out of my name and off my insurance? We live apart but are not legally separated.

Re: separated spouse barred driver
That is what you call a sticky wicket. You can cancel the insurance-call your insurance company, and you can ask the DMV what you need to do to dispose of the automobile. Then go ahead and do it.
