Legal Question in Traffic Law in Iowa
Let me first start by explaining the direction of the vehicles. I am headed south on a street getting ready to turn right onto a side street. The bus is headed north . As I approach, the bus stops and puts out the stop sign before the intersection. I continue with my turn as I have not crossed paths with the bus. Is this illegal? and if so, what would be the possible fine in Iowa? This did not happen at a cross walk, stop sign, or designated drop-off/pick-up area. The bus just stopped in the middle of the street.
