Legal Question in Traffic Law in Iowa

Wondering if I should fight this speeding ticket. Going exactly 15 mph over the speed limit in iowa. I was on the way to a medical emergency for my aunt. Tried calling police & ambulence to let them know right when I got off the phone talking to my aunt. But thats when I got pulled over by the tropper. He said he had been following me. Asked what I did for a living I told him I worked at the meredith corporation as an art director and then he gave me a $165 ticket. I tried to explain this was a medical emergency. He wouldnt listen. I dont think he took me seriously because as an african american woman I look really young. He didnt even check my driving record or license plate and said he didnt know and had to look them up when I was asking questions. I was clearly shaken up and crying from off the phone with my aunt and did not even question or ask or listen to me. And currently power of attorny amd now planning my aunts death. But anyways Im currently on probation because I got 3 tickets in 2013. Should I fight this and if so what should I go into court with as a cause so I can have a plea or hopefully get the ticket wavied? I know im guilty because I did speed & I accept responsibility. I was just emotional after hearing bad news about my aunt and at that moment & tried to get to her in time.

This is a mixed bag. Without knowing more about why and how the stop was made I couldn't say whether you have a defense or not. The problem you have is that your medical emergency was not right there in the car with you. I would hire an attorney and see whether you can get the charge reduced.
