Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Iowa

I borrowed 10,000 dollars no contract signed. Agreed to pay 50.00 dollars a month and more when i had it. She passed away recently and the executor of the estate says i have to pay in full. I do not have the money to repay them now even though it is only 1800.00 dollars. What are my optionsi have no money to pay them.

If you can't pay you can't pay. They may sue you although without a contract or promissory note that they can show it'll be difficult for them to prevail.
