Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Iowa

Which form to use for a will

I currently own property as well as a home in the state of Iowa and would like to prepare a will. At this time, I am living in Louisiana and it may be permanent but am not certain at this time. Should I use an Iowa form since the property being willed is located there or a LA one? Is an attorney necessary or can any notary notorize it? Thanks for your help.

Re: Which form to use for a will

It is usually best to write your will in your home state's form. If you have the will written by an experienced Louisiana estate planning lawyer (s)he will know how to properly account for out-of-state land.
