Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Iowa
a friend passed away in 2008 and we had joint CD's that the attorney included in the estate and I had to pay Iowa tax - should they have been left out since my name was also on them and I not have paid taxes on them?

If the name of the decedent was on them they were assets of the estate.
