Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Iowa
My grand sons will be coming into money through their great grandads will as their father my son has passed away. One of my grandsons signed papers that he would be responsible for his dads burial. The funeral director asked for someone to co sign too. No one else would do it so I had to be a co signer. My grandson was nearly 19 years old at the time. He has not paid one penny on the bill. I have had to pay monthly. I am 68 years old disabled and living on a low income its hard on me financially to make ends meet. I am wondering if their is a way that the probate in Indiana could be made to give these funds to pay on the boys dads funeral and then if anything is left over the boys would get the balance. Their great grandad lived in Indiana they live in Iowa.
I can't afford to pay for legal expenses on this matter. Can you help me?

The estate is responsible for the funeral expenses. Let them get it when the estate is probated.
