Inheritance - Illegitimate son

Dear Sirs - I am the illegitimate son of a very well to-do man from Iowa. Davenport. He has been a part of my life since birth. He is now 88 years old has one adopted daughter. I am a blood son as is my brother and sister. His wife is 83, she has total control of the money. He is in a nursing home now. I think there is maybe 2 or 3 million worth of property and money in their name. I dont think she wants me to have anything- In fact I know it . Do I have any Rights? He did give me and my brother each a house and we have proof like pictures and letters from him. Also a Letter ( not notarized saying he wants us to have a share) of his estate. Please any Lawyers from Davenport just drive by his house- 814 w 35 st. You'll see its like a park in the middle of town. Also this- I DO NOT WANT HIM TO KNOW ! he is old and at the end of his life PLEASE RESPECT THIS. Oh and know that the daughter does NOT know about us. I dont have much money to get the ball rolling, but its worth for anyone willing to help.- Thank you
