Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Iowa

My parents are both in a nursing home. They wanted each of us children to have certain things in their home that mean something to us. It is in their will, but now it looks like everything will go to the nursing home. Aren't they allowed to give anything to their children. They live in NW Iowa and have enough money go pay their way in the home for 3 years.

I'm not at all sure what you mean. You need someone to examine the agreement between the nursing home and your parents. Is it medicaid?
