Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Iowa
My parents passed away in 1986. I just found documentation (cancelled checks) that indicate that they had Life Insurance at the time.
Is the Life Insurance Company still liable for this after so many years?

I suppose it is possible, but, the company may no longer exist, the insurance proceeds may have escheated to the state, policy might have a reporting time limitation, etc., etc. Certainly does not hurt to check into it though.
