Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Iowa
Return of Estate disbursement to heirs for taxes due
Should monies already disbursed, but now needed to pay estate taxes be returned to the Estate and the Estate Trust and sent to the estate attorney or should the monies be paid back through the courts as stated in the document signed by the heirs when funds were received? That document is headed ''IN THE IOWA DISTRICT COURT FOR POTTATWTTAMIE COUNTY''

Either way should be sufficient, but you would be well advised to obtain a receipt.
