Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Iowa

What are my rights to get my fathers belongings from his girlfriends house. My father passed away in june and the girl friend will not give us any of his belongings all in which he all had before they were living together. He did not have a living will that we know of.

A living will is an advance health care directive that has nothing to do with this issue. If there has been an attorney appointed to steer your father's estate through probate you must contact them and make your wishes known. Unless and until the estate is distributed according to statute, you have no business removing property from the house.
