Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Iowa
My step grandfather wants to give my husband and I his car August 1, 2010 because he is giving up his license at age 90. The problem lies with my aunts who both live in the same town. They do not want it to happen for selfish reasons and they say it will NOT happen. I am wondering if we have any rights if this is his wish?

You have no rights whatsoever. However, assuming your step grandfather is mentally competent, and he owns the car outright, your aunts have nothing to say about it. If the foregoing is true, it is his car and he can give it to anyone he wants.
