Legal Question in Workers Comp in Iowa

Federal workmans comp

Where can i go to find the laws and regulations for filing a lawsuit against the us postal service insurance company/workmans comp.? I am interested in getting all the info i can and put my case together. Is there a website or a book i can go to that tells me exactly how to prepare, file and win my lawsuit. I have much documentaion and there is not a lawyer here in iowa that is willing to take on the postal service. I will not give up. Plese help!

Kathy, your frustration with federal workers compensation claims is well received. There are few lawyers who will deal with those claims because of the manner of compensation to the lawyers. Lawyers can't get paid enough to make it worth while because the federal system restricts compensation. It's my assessment these restrictions are imposed to keep lawyers out of the system. It's not fair to the injured worker. They deserve qualified representation. The system doesn't work for the worker.

Unfortunately I'm not that familiar with the system to be able to direct you to where to get an answer. That said you should go to the Drake Law School Library and read the books there.
