Legal Question in Workers Comp in Iowa

I had a foot injury and work and am currently on seated work only restrictions. I was fired today due to an attendance issue. Do they have to pay me workers compensation until I find a new job?

You'll need a doctor's excuse to be off of work and then they will owe you benefits. I'd suggest you get that excuse in writing to avoid any disagreements with the insurance company.
