Re: Irish citizenship

Your husband can apply for naturalization as an Irish citizen only if certain conditions apply, including a requirement he have lived in Ireland for a number of years before applying, intend to live in Ireland after getting citizenship, and that you are married for at least 3 years. For more details, see this publication from the Irish Dept. of Justice: http://www.inis.gov.ie/en/INIS/Information_Leaflet_No3_070409.pdf/Files/Information_Leaflet_No3_070409.pdf

Re: Irish citizenship

Dear Inquirer:

You would need to contact the Irish Embassy in the US to determine whether your husband is entitled to residency or citizenship in Ireland.

I recommend that you email [email protected] or visit www.hanlonlawgroup.com if you would like to discuss this matter further in a confidential consultation.
