Legal Question in International Law in Italy
What options do I have legally if someone filmed me without my consent or knowledge. The camera was set up in the bedroom. This occurred while traveling in Italy and the person responsible is a citizen from another country and has already left Italy.

Avv. Giovanbattista Greco
The filming of people without their consent or knowledge constitutes a crime and so the victim is granted the right to lodge a complaint against the video maker within 90 days. If the responsible person is a public officer, the abovementioned term does not apply.
The start of a criminal proceeding does not impair the right for the injured person to claim for compensation in keeping with tort law.
