Audultry in the military

My daughter who is a marine and stationed in Japan, was formaly charged with adultry and could face court martial charges. The guy she was seeing said he was divorced in the state of Missouri. Is there anything that you can recomend for her.

She should not make any statements to people about the allegations.

Sounds like she may have a "defense" based on a mistake of fact.

If she did not know he was still married, then that may be a defense to the charge of adultery. This should be raised and evidence presented on this at trial so that she is not found guilty of something that she did not know she was doing. Her attorney should make sure to get evidence to support and develop this defense.

I hope this has answered your question. Please feel free to contact if I can be of any further service.
