Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Kansas
I filed for unemployment less then a month ago, and a week or so after I filed for it. I got a letter in the mail saying that they are going to take my unemployment for an overpayment cliam. I got that discharged in my bankruptcy. A year or so ago I had to take a leave of abscence from work and I got my unemployment then after I had to show them that it got discharged in my bankruptcy. I guess my question is how can it be discharged when I had to take a leave of absence but now I can not get it?

Your ultimate question is confusing. It isn't clear what you want to know. It does appear that you got discharge from an overpayment debt, such that you can not be sued for it. But, such discharges do not always prevent offsets in future unemployment claims.
