Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Kansas
A wife files for Chapter 7 by herself(without her husband). They have 2 vehicles. Both names are on both vehicles and both are paid off. Should her attorney advise them to take her name off of at least one of the vehicles before filing? Thanks!

The are strategic reasons to have the filer, in such a case transfer one if the vehicles. But, there are reasons not to. Without knowing your wife's situation, it is impossible to advise whether to do it. She should discuss this with her BK attorney. If she won't, you should consult directly with an attorney to advise you individually. There isn't enough information, providec here, to advise you as to the likelihood that you'll lose a vehicle.
Good luck
