Legal Question in Business Law in Kansas
Business used our wedding photo's on it's advertisement w/o our auth.
We hired a professional photographer & videographer to complete our vedio and photos. We were married last Oct. and as of today we still have not rec'dthe vedio, They tell us a staff member ruined the video. Then, I find out from a excercise buddy that all my wedding photos are displayed in a national bridal shop and is on the brochure of this professional company.
1. It is not on my contract nor did we give permission
we would no endorse this company.
2. They did not take the photos, they bought a guy over they met the week before at another wedding to do my wedding. I had no previous warning, they just showed up with him on my wedding day.
3. Also, in my line of work, I work with ex-offenders. I do not want them to know what any of my family members look like especially my children. Yet, my photo's were displayed against our knowledge in a large bridal shop. The brochures were displayed at various shops around town. What recourse do I have?
Thank-You,

You really need to schedule appointment with legal counsel. . .take your agreement w/the business. . .give counsel an opportunity to research the various options available and the potential cost to pursue any action and the outcome you would expect.
