Legal Question in Business Law in Kansas
I recently resigned from my job as an Assistant Store Manager for Walmart Stores Inc.
My exit papers clearly noted this was my choice and a voluntary resignation. However, a few individuals observed my former Manager to have claimed I was terminated for sexual harassment. My exit paper never stated this; and I was never part of a "Red Book" investigation for such a claim to be accurate. Given the fact i still live the small city, and may pf my piers refuse to associate with me, I believe the comment to be highly defamatory. Is this grounds for a Slander case? If so would it be Walmart,or the Individual who made the comments that would be the defendant?
