i sold a 95 chevy blazer as is to someone. now a few days later they say that there is things wrong with it. can they take any action agains me even though i told then there was work and needed to be done to the vehicle

The question "can they sue me?" is almost always answered "yes" The real question is "would you win. " Under the facts you described, it seems that you might be able to get such a case dismissed based upon a clear communication and agreement that the sale was "As Is." If it was agreed by the parties that the sale wa sass is, then they might onlky be able to come after you, sucessfully, for things that you misled them on. Examples could be :I just put all new rings and lifters in 2k miles ago" If they bought the vehicle and then found out you lied about the new equipment they might get a judgment against you.
