Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Kansas
My 14 year old daughter got arrested for shoplifting a pair of socks at the mall. The item was returned and was not used or anything. The law firm for this store sent a letter saying that I need to pay $104.50, or they will sue us. Seems like there really are no "damages", and all over a pair of socks they got back.
