Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Kansas

Confused

About 4 years ago i paid an attorney 500. To defend me in a domestic case . The lawyer was in the small town the man i was acussing was from to make a long question short i paid her to defend me she did and 1 week later prosecuted me in a seperate matter is this legal thank you for your time

If an attorney defended you in a law suit and then filed a seperate case against you later, that would be a violation of the rules of ethics. Once an attorney represents you, they cannot take a case against you without your permission. Did you give her permission to represent someone else against you?
