can a detective question a minor without a parents consent or presence at school

The cases are nto consistent. But, fourteen seems to be the cut off as to when evidence gathered from verbal statements can be excluded or suppressed. If teh chidl is fifteen, there may be exigent circumstances that would allow a detective to interview an alleged suspect or witness. Thirteen year olds often get mroe deference, to having the parent present or getting parental consent prior to the interview/interrogation.
