Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Kansas
If an intruder attempts to break into my house, and I follow the Vice President's advice by discharging a shotgun through the door, wounding/killing the intruder, would there be legal ramifications? Conversely, i f I were to warn the intruder " Stop! I have a gun! I'm in fear for my life. If you break in, I will shoot! " , I say this twice, and then, I were to say " Stop! If you try to break in, I will shoot. This is your last warning! " , an d then discharge the shotgun through the door, what legal concerns would I have? I'm certain that you've heard this, but I have to admit that I'm curious. Thank you.

You might get arrested, and you would probably get sued in civil Court.
