police impropriety
my sister called in a non licensed driver who was driving. our local small town police arressted him and then told him who had called it in. Now the person she called in is harrassing her. Is it legal for the police to tell a criminal who turned them in?

The name of the person is written into the police report, so it is public knowledge.
However, the harassment should be stopped: notify the court and ask for a restraining order...not that it will do much good,m but it might give the person pause before picking the phone up again.
