Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Kansas

If I purchased music equipment with my own income being separated from my home(she had me removed), is that considered 100% my property in the state of KS?

Also while separated, I purchased a Mac Book Pro and and a cell phone as well.

I went back to visit my wife and she called the police on me to have me removed. I left my music equipment, my labtop, and my cell phone and she won't let me pick up my belongings. Police claim they can't do anything about it since we're still married unless I have court documents stating what's mine. But while still married they claim that they don't know who's things they are.

I've payed for my wife, son, and my phone and cell phone bill. How is this justified that they don't know who owns at least my phone when it's in my name?

Is presenting a receipt considered ok to show proof to the police? Showing that I inherianted my belongings while seperated?

You can seek an order, from a court to divide your property. Consult directly with a family law attorney in your area. Ask then what the options are, and hire much it will cost. Then decide how badly you want your stuff.

Good luck
