Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Kansas
Hi there. I was purchasing a vehicle from a girl and gave her part of the money for the car because she gave me a bill of sale stating I was purchasing the car and that she would have the title in a week. Hence, why I hadn't paid the remainder of the money. However, I went back to get the car and she had sold it to someone else AND kept my money. Am I able to file any type of civil suit in this case? Now all's I get in response from her is swearing and telling me I have no rights to do anything and to leave her alone cuz she claims it's harassment to ask her for money she doesn't have......sigh. Oh yeah, I live in Missouri and this took place in Kansas if that makes any difference.

If you still have the bill of sale, you can sue her for fraud and the return of your money.
