Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Kansas
My sister has a mini pot belly pig and the local "dog catcher" is trying to say she has to have it removed from her home by Tuesday. He just notified her of the issue today (Sunday). I'm not sure if they are allowed in city limits but we live in a town of only 180 people at most. We are very confident that the reason the issue has been addressed is because her neighbors were turned in by other neighbors (not my sister) for their dogs running at large attacking other dogs and trying to attack people. The said "dog catcher" is friends with said neighbors with horrible dogs. If there is a city ordinance about the pig what can we do to get it changed so she won't have to give up her best friend (the mini pot belly pig)?

Your sister or her attorney need to see what the ordinance actually says. Then she can decide how best to proceed.
Good luck
