Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Kansas

Is a verbal agreement between four parties a contract? If it was told to others, meaning someone outside the four parties, has heard about it, mean that it is published or public knowledge? Also would it be usable to sue in a case?

There are a few contacts that must be evidenced by a "writing" that is signed by the person that is being sued. But, oral agreements are sometimes the base of many civil suits, and criminal prosecutions. Therefore, the answer to your Queston is that it depends what the contrarcontract was about. With the limited information you provided, that is the general answer. It would be very difficult for a layman to prove up a four party oral agreement. If you think you may bea party in a suit regarding a multiple party contract, I suggest that you consult directly with a civil practice attorney in your area. Many offer a free or low cost initial consultation. Give then the facts that you were unable to provide here.

Good luck
