Legal Question in Construction Law in Kansas
Hi can a roofing contractor file suit against me for breach of contract if he was unlicensed at the time i signed the contract then got a license five months later?? no license is the sole reason i did not accept his services but i did not make the three day grace period to cancel can he legally sue for breach or materials?

Yes. a roofer can fiel suit agisnt you. The real question is "are they likely to prevail?" If the roofer did the job, you may have to pay. If they did not start. then you may be able to avoid a judgment in the law suit. But, you should consult direlcty with counsel in your area soon. Many offer a free or low cost initial consultation.
