Legal Question in Consumer Law in Kansas

I am a hairstylist and I have a contract with a hair extension company to pay $425 a month for the course of one year for equipment and training. I paid the first payment in person and after that the payments would be automatically withdrawn on a certain day for the remainder of the contract. Well, it has been 3 months and they have only withdrawn once! I never know when they will charge me now, and I tried to call them and got no reply. I did not receive a copy of the contract, either.

I dont know if there is even a legal application to this matter, but I am curious about what this means that they are just charging me one month and not the next. Will I just have to keep a payment ready for them to withdraw at their whim until its paid off? It is supposed to be a one year plan, it will take 5 years at this rate!

Without seeing the contract, it is impossible to fully determine yrou exposure. However, it apepars that the deal is for a certain sum of money to be withdrawn, not more often than once a month. As long as the equipment and training are coming, they will get theri billing done, eventually. Afte the year is about to expire,a nd there remains balance, write to the company to tell them that you rescind the permission to do automatice withdrawals. That should get soemone from the company to call you regarding how you intend to pay the balance. Until then, you probably have to keep funds in the the account to cover a withdrawal.
