Legal Question in Consumer Law in Kansas

I have a legal financial question for anyone who can answer or have an opinion about the matter. I was looking for used car to buy and I found one at a used car dealer in Missouri. After test driving the car, I notice a problem with one of the wheel joints. They said the problem was minor it would cost maximum $200. We agree on a price after a lengthy negotiation, but they have to fix the problem and I have to put a deposit on the car. I gave them my credit card and they took five hundred for the deposit. I was suppose to pick the car up sometime today after everything was fixed and detail clean, but they just called me saying the parts for the repair is going to cost them $900. They want to refund my money and cancel the deal. My question is, do I have the legal right to at least recover the money I paid to get the Carfax report on the vehicle?

REfunding the carfax cost is the least that the dealer should be willing to pay. They may not have the right to renege on the deal anyway.

Good luck
