Legal Question in Consumer Law in Kansas

Signed & paid 1 yr gym membership in Saline County KS yesterday. Found they'd given co-worker same for $5 p/month less. Can I cancel membership if they won't adjust my contract?

Unless they made the differnt agreement based upon race, gender, nation of origin, or any of the other prohibited reasons, you just made a worse deal than your coworker. Buyers' remorse is not a defense to a suit to collect unpaid membership dues and fees. Therefore, unless you show that they made the different deals for an improper reason, you probably cannot cancel your membership. Be careful, many membership agreements automatically renew, if you do not give proper notice of your intent to not renew.
