Legal Question in Consumer Law in Kansas
UPS Damaged Shipment Insurance Claim Denial
I moved to California from Kansas a couple of months back. I shipped my computer monitor via Mail Boxes Etc after buying a $700.00 shipping insurance from them. However, at that point I was never informed of the regulations governing the policies. Upon delivery, the monitor was damaged and did not function. I filed a claim but the insurance was denied on the basis that I had discarded the packaging material. How was I supposed to know if I was never informed about the procedures? Even the manager of the local MBE center agreed that I wasn't informed. How and where do I file a small claims appeal?
