charge off credit cards

I have credit cards that went to collection and show on my credit report as charge offs. If I pay the charge off accounts will my credit score improve. I also have credit cards that went to collections on my credit report that state closed by co and still open not charged off. If I pay those cc off will my credit score improve. If the credit cards are charged off does it effect my credit if I pay them off charge offs or not.

Generally it always pays to pay your just debts. If in your case, you also demand that they report the accounts as paid, and demand that the credit reproting serve verify the debt shown, you might see an improvement of your fico score.
