Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Kansas
My husband co-signed two student loans for my daughter-- her third year of college (a year ago) she was diagnosed with Stills Disease and could not continue school or work. She is currently under medical supervision (most days she can not function on her own). We notified the loan company (Sun Trust) of her situation and they said they would postpone payment and requested statements as proof of her illness (we sent that information to them) but they never stopped harrassing us about the loan. We can not pay medical bills and the loans at the same time. Is their something that can be done to have the loans postponed without harrassment?

Your daughter can request a medical forebearance or deferment. Your husbnad may nto be able to do that. If your daughter is deemed incapciated or incompetent by the court, your daughter's fiduciary may be able to make the request on her behalf.
Good luck
