Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Kansas

How long does it take for a satisfaction of judgement. I satisfied on 11/27/2009 and they have still not issued one. I have an email from plaintiff saying it was satisfied. What do I need to do to get this satisfied. Is there a time frame they have to do this in inKansas?

There is no set time frame. But, generally, after a judgment debtor has fully paid a debt, it takes about 30-45 days to get a Satisfaction on file. You indicate it has been a few years. You should contact the judgment creditor, or their attorney an demand that a Satisfaction be filed immediately. If they do not, you may be able to file one yourself, by proving up the payment in full.

Good luck
