I have an outstanding bill with a company that I want to pay down on a credit card but the company will not accept credit card only certified check or money order do they have the right to refuse a credit card payment on the bill and what does that do to the bill

If they refuse cash, you may have a claim. But, in most cases there is no requirement that creditors take a personal check or credit card.
