Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Kansas

I was served a court summons today for Capital one credit card. I receive social security disability pay. I cant afford to pay them. If I contacted them to tell them about my disability pay would they drop this lawsuit?

They probably will not drop the suit. But, they might take your source of income into account, when deciding how vigorously to collect the judgment (if they get one.)
